In 1923, Yankee Stadium opened and for the first time the Yankees experienced home-field advantage, no longer having to share the Polo Grounds with the Giants. The 1923 World Series was the first series to earn over $1 million in gate receipts. The Yankees would finally beat the Giants in Game 6 for their first World Championship in the brand new stadium. This ticket stub from Game 5 is in VG-EX condition with rounded corners, some small scuffs, and some browning from age.
