There were few stars during the infant days of the NBA, but standing tall among them was Dolph Schayes. He joined the league in its very first year, playing with the Syracuse Nationals and hanging around to see the game develop into one of the major American sporting institutions. He was a 12-time All-Star and offered here is the very jersey he wore in the 1954 affair, which took place in New York. Schayes jerseys are among the rarest of the NBA's Top 50 Greatest, so this is a must-have for any collector of that elite group. On the inside front tail is the "Horace Partridge" manufacturer's tag. The player number "4" appears on both the front and back in blue tackle twill. On each side are six red tackle twill stars. It has been signed on the front "Dolph Schayes HOF 72" in blue Sharpie rating a 9. The autograph comes with a letter from PSA/DNA. The jersey shows game use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. It is accompanied by a letter from Schayes himself attesting to its use.
