Vince Carter earned Rookie of the Year honors following an electrifying debut season for the Toronto Raptors, who obtained him in a draft day trade. In only his second season, he ranked fourth in the league in scoring at 25.7 points per game and was the leading vote-getter in fan balloting for the 2000 All-Star Game and the winner of the NBA's Slam-Dunk Contest. This Carter Raptors road purple mesh uniform with sneakers is from his 1998-99 rookie season. On the left front tail is the "Nike" manufacturer's tag with the size "52" and adjacent are the "NBA Authentics" tag and the Raptors logo tag. Below this is the "Length +3 Made in the U.S.A." tag. On the left shoulder is the embroidered NBA logo and inside the left front tail are the wash tag and the year tag "1998-99." The Raptors logo is screened onto the front in red, black, and white. The team name "Raptors" appears on the front in silver on a black tackle twill backing. The player number "15" is sewn onto the left breast and the back of the jersey in white on black tackle twill. On the back of the jersey is a black mesh nameplate with the player name "Carter" in white tackle twill. The jersey comes with a matching pair of shorts. In the waistband is the "Nike" manufacturer's tag with the size "42," and the player number "15" has been written on these in black marker. Adjacent are the "NBA Authentics" and Raptors logo tags, and below this is the "Inseam +3" tag, the wash tag, and the year tag "1998-99." The NBA logo is embroidered onto the bottom of the right leg. The "TR" Raptors logo patch is sewn onto the left leg in silver, red, and purple embroidery on a black tackle twill backing and the paw patch is on the right leg in silver embroidery on a purple tackle twill backing. The uniform comes with a pair of Carter's Puma sneakers with the size 16 tag in the tongue of each sneaker. Each is signed on the outside in gold with signatures that are 7s. The sneakers come with a Vince Carter Authentic tag attached to the laces of each. The jersey, shorts, and sneakers show game use and appear to have no alterations of any kind. The autographs come with a PSA/DNA letter of authenticity.
