During his 14-year NBA career with the Detroit Pistons and Milwaukee Bucks, Bob Lanier was a model of consistency. His sweeping left-hand hook and dominating inside play made him one of the most feared big men of his era. Lanier's sweet shooting touch from the perimeter combined with his inside abilities to make him a true inside/outside force. He proved this as an eight-time All-Star and MVP of the 1974 game. Lanier's career numbers--19,248 points (20.1 ppg) and 9,698 rebounds (10.1 rpg)--still rank among the top 20 in NBA records. On the left tail of this Lanier Pistons home white jersey is the "Detroit Pistons" Sand-Knit exclusive tag and below it is the "Medalist Sand-Knit" manufacturer's tag with the size "48." The team name "Pistons" appears on the front and the player number "16" appears on both the front and the back. All of these letters and numbers are made of blue on red tackle twill. The player name "Lanier" has been sewn onto the back of the jersey in blue tackle twill. Included is a matching pair of Pistons home shorts. Inside the waistband is the "Detroit Pistons" Sand-Knit Exclusive tag and to its right is the "Medalist Sand-Knit" manufacturer's tag with the size "36." To the right of this is a white patch with "9" printed on. The jersey and shorts show game use and appear to have no alterations of any kind.
