Offered here is a Buffalo Bills game-used helmet with lineman's mask from 1969, O.J. Simpson's first season in the pros. The red, white, and blue Riddell suspension helmet has the Bills logo on each side and shows nice game use. Equipment manager writing appears throughout the helmet. After his first professional game, Simpson signed the helmet for the Art Director of Quarterback Magazine with a signature reading "To Victor Best Wishes Always O.J. Simpson." The signature is in thin blue marker and rates a 7 due to slight smudging. To accompany the helmet is a letter opener with "NBC" television logo on the handle along with "Buffalo Bills O.J. Simpson" and "Joe Namath New York Jets" in gold lettering. On the verso of the handle is the date "Sept. 14, 1969 Buffalo, N.Y." It comes with a letter of authenticity from the person who obtained the autograph as well as a PSA/DNA letter.
