From its inception in 1972 the comic strip "Hagar the Horrible" has appeared in more than 1,900 newspapers in 58 countries around the world and has been translated into 13 different languages. The premise was concieved by award-winning cartoonist Dik Browne who passed away in 1998. It is continued by his son Chris to this day. This large size print of a three-panel Hagar strip was originally published in 1979. It was later reprinted in this edition of just 450 pieces; this one is number 17 and is signed by the artist Chris Browne. Next to the signature is small hand-drawn likeness of Hagar. Both are done in pencil rating a near 10. Double matted and framed to an overall size of 12"x22".
