Playing for a total of eight different teams, Gaylord Perry was the first pitcher to win the Cy Young Award in both leagues. This painting shows Perry in the uniform of three of the many teams he will be remembered for: the Seattle Mariners, the New York Yankees, and the San Francisco Giants. The painting, done in a combination of acrylic and airbrush, was done on a stretched canvas measuring 24" x 36" x 1.5" with no unsightly staples, allowing it to be beautifully displayed with or without framing. Inset in the upper left corner is an acrylic wash of Perry in his Mariners uniform. In the lower right is a picture of Perry in action, mid-pitch, and in the upper right is a closeup of Perry in his NY Yankees cap, his face airbrushed for accuracy and likeness. The red wall in the background is marked "Miller" to honor Miller Lite's support of this project. The painting is signed by "D. Arrigo," the artist, in black marker. Proceeds from this item go to the Baseball Assistance Team.
