Produced in the late 1970s by the Holtzman Press, this complete set of ten volumes encompasses some of the finest literary works on the subject of sports in America. Each title was selected for its importance of subject matter and author and reprinted in very limited quantities. Included are the following: Veeck as in Wreck by Veeck and Linn, The Babe by Creamer, The Boys of Summer by Kahn, Eight Men Out by Asinof, The Long Season by Brosnan, Farewell to Sport by Gallico, Instant Replay by Kramer and Schaap, The Glory of Their Times by Ritter, Paper Lion by Plimpton, and The Sweet Science by Liebling. Each leather bound and gold lettered volume has been signed by its author on the first page in a variety of ink with the signatures rating strong 9s and 10s all around. The works by Gallico and Liebling have facsimile signatures as the authors passed away prior to the production of this set. A fine addition to any serious sports library. The autographs come with a letter from PSA/DNA.
