This copy of Sports Illustrated magazine, dated August 1, 1955, features the Red Sox superstar on its full-color cover. At the time, a yearly subscription to Sports Illustrated cost $7.50 per year, a measly 25 cents an issue. The magazine rates VG with slight wear on the outside covers and discoloration of the edges on the inside pages. Williams signed across his chest in blue Sharpie, his signature rating a 9. Williams' signature comes with a letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA. His signature also comes with an additional letter of authenticity.
