In this lot, two of baseball's immortal legends gracefully adorn the covers of four magazines. First, a smiling Williams is depicted on a 1941 issue of Life Magazine followed by a more distraught Williams on the cover of a 1947 Pic Magazine with the title "What's Wrong With Williams?" Both magazines are signed by Williams in blue Sharpie and each rates a near 10. Mantle is first shown grinning on the cover of a 1956 issue of Life Magazine as he cocks a bat back preparing to swing, while the second is an historic photo of the M&M boys, Mantle and Maris, on the cover of a 1961 issue of Life Magazine with the title "Will Yank Sluggers Smash 60 Homers?" Mantle signed both with a "No. 7" in blue sharpie and both signatures rate a near 10. The magazines themselves are in very good to excellent condition and the autographs come with a letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA.
