Al Kaline is Mr. Tiger, not only because he played in more games as a Tiger than anyone else and hit more home runs than any Tiger, but also because he gave his Detroit teammates and fans his magnificent skill, leadership, and determination each inning he played. This Wilson 573CL Al Kaline model fielder's glove was used by Kaline during his early Tiger days. "Wilson" and "Major League" are printed on the outside of the glove and "Wilson," "573CL," and "Al Kaline Autograph Model" are printed on the inside. According to Kaline, it was customary for players to shag pre-game fly balls at Briggs Stadium and then dump their gloves into a barrel, which he did with this glove. A Wilson sales representative then grabbed the glove and later gave it to a longtime professional baseball scout. The scout has written his name and initials on the outside of the glove and Kaline has autographed it on the outside in marker with a blue signature that rates a near 10. The glove shows heavy use. It comes with a letter of authenticity from Kaline as well as a letter from the scout. The autograph comes with a PSA/DNA letter.
