One of the most exciting players in the game, Vladimir Guerrero puts up Willie Mays-like numbers at the plate and in the field has an arm as strong as that of any player in the game. Guerrero was the MVP of the Eastern League in 1996, the same year he made his Major League debut. He made the All-Star team for the fourth straight season last year and finished in the top 10 of the National League in virtually every offensive category. This home knit jersey was worn on September 12, 1996, in Guerrero's first major league game. In the neck of the jersey is the number "48" which has been written in black marker. On the left front tail is the "Russell Athletic" label with the size "48." Across the front of the jersey is the name "Expos" in script-style letters and on the back is the name "Guerrero." The player number "27" appears on both the left breast and on the back of the jersey. All the letters and numbers are made of blue on red tackle twill. On the left sleeve is the "Montreal Expos" patch. The jersey comes with a team letter. It shows game use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
