Dwight Gooden had a record-breaking Rookie of the Year season in 1984 and was the Mets' number one draft pick. On the left front tail of this road knit jersey is the "Russell Athletic" label with the size "48." Below this is the "2" Extra Body Length" label and next to this is a label reading "New York Mets 92s." Across the front of the jersey is the name "New York" and on the back is the name "Gooden." Below this is the player number "16." All the letters and numbers are made of blue on orange/white ribbed tackle twill. On the left sleeve is a black/white pinstripe patch with the letter "S" commemorating the death of William Shea. There is an autograph on both the front and back of the shirt, both of which rate an 8. The autograph comes with a letter from PSA/DNA. The jersey shows game use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. It comes with an additional letter.
