Tony Gwynn is often considered the best pure hitter of his era. A fan favorite in San Diego, Gwynn's loyalty is exceeded among active players only by Cal Ripken's eighteen-year streak in Baltimore. On the left front tail of this road knit jersey is the "Russell Athletic" label with the size "52." Below this is the "2" Extra Length" label. Across the front of the jersey is the team name "San Diego" in blue on white/orange tackle twill and on the back is the name "Gwynn" in blue tackle twill. Below this is the player number "19" in blue on white/orange tackle twill. On the left sleeve is the "San Diego Padres Baseball Club" patch and on the right sleeve is the Jackie Robinson 50th anniversary patch. The jersey shows game use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
