Steve Garvey was probably the most durable player of his era and was a tremendous asset in the postseason, when the pressure was on. A four-time Gold Glove winner, many believe that he still has a shot at one day making it into baseball's Hall of Fame. On the inside left front tail is the "Rawlings" manufacturer's tag with the size "46." Adjacent to that is the "Set 1 1987" flag tag. Across the front of the jersey is the team name "Padres" in brown on orange and brown tackle twill. On the back is the player name "Garvey" and below is the number "6." All of these letters and numbers are done in brown on orange tackle twill. The jersey shows game use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
