Moises Alou was named team MVP in his first year with the Marlins, leading the club to their first championship with 23 homers, a team-high 115 RBIs and three homers in the World Series. Under his father Felipe Alou's tutelage in Montreal, Alou turned himself into a power hitter and a quiet team leader. On the left front tail of this home knit jersey is the "Russell Athletic" label with the size "46" and below this is the "2" Extra Length" label. Across the front of the jersey is the team name "Expos" in script-style letters and on the back is the player name "Alou." The player number "18" appears on both the left breast and on the back of the shirt. The letters and numbers are made of blue on red tackle twill. On the left sleeve is the Expos patch. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
