Possessing the premier curveball of his era, Bert Blyleven carved out a great career with an arsenal that actually featured two curveballs -- a "roundhouse" and an "overhand drop." Balanced by a full follow-through, Blyleven's vicious curve was among the best in baseball for nearly twenty years. On the left front tail of this home knit jersey is the "Rawlings" label with the size "48" and adjacent is the flag tag reading "Set 1 1989." Across the front of the jersey is the team name "Angels" and on the back is a white nameplate with the name "Blyleven." The player number "28" appears on both the left breast and on the back of the shirt. The letters and numbers are made of red on blue tackle twill. On the right sleeve is the "1989 All-Star Game" patch. The game was played in California that year. The jersey shows game use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
