Mark Belanger replaced Hall of Fame shortstop Luis Aparicio and would remain the team's regular shortstop until 1982. He was awarded eight Gold Gloves for his skill in the field. On the inside right front tail is the "Rawlings" manufacturer's tag with the size "38." Adjacent to this is the "Set 1 1977" flag tag. Across the front of the jersey is the team name "Orioles" in stylized script lettering. Below this is the player number "7" which also appears on the back. Also on the back is a nameplate reading "Belanger." All of the letters and numbers are done in orange on black tackle twill. The jersey shows good game use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
