One of the most popular players of his time, Kirby Puckett radiated an effervescent joy both on and off the field that endeared him to his fans, media and players alike. He collected more hits in his first ten years (2,040) than any player in the 20th century. Puckett's star burned brightest during Game Six of the 1991 World Series, which pitted the Twins against the Atlanta Braves. With the Twins trailing three games to two, Puckett collected three hits, three RBIs and two runs scored. In the neck of this road knit jersey is the "Rawlings" label with the size "48" and adjacent is a white patch reading "91 2" which has been done in blue embroidered stitch. The numbers denote the year and set number, respectively. Across the front of the jersey is the team name "Minnesota" in red on blue tackle twill and on the back is a gray nameplate with the name "Puckett" in blue tackle twill. The player number "34" appears on both the left breast and on the back of the shirt. The numbers are also made of red on blue tackle twill. On the left sleeve is the Minnesota Twins patch and on the right sleeve is the "1991 World Series" patch. There is a black Sharpie autograph on the right front of the jersey which rates an 8. The autograph comes with a letter from PSA/DNA. The jersey shows game use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. It also comes with an additional letter of authenticity.
