1998 was a colossal year for "Big Mac" as he crushed Roger Maris's unreachable single season home run record, pounding out a then unheard of 70 dingers. This uncracked Mark McGwire game-used bat shows evidence of excellent game use. The barrel has several ball-hit, ball stitch, blue/red ball transfer, and red/black bat rack marks. The handle has a light coat of pine tar. On the knob and barrel end has five lines and a square written in black marker. The lines and square symbolize "5 squared" which equals 25, Big Mac's player number.
