The side panel of this ONL Frick baseball has been graced with one of the finest Mel Ott signatures that this firm has ever seen. Scripted in beautifully flowing black steel-tipped pen, "Master Melvin" no doubt took pride in penning this autograph, which has preserved well over the more than 50 years since it left his hand. The baseball itself shows a nice even tone with league stampings darker than one would expect for an orb of this age. There is an abrasion on the reverse of the sweet spot. The combination of this fine a signature, rating a strong 9 on a scale of 10, on this top-quality ball results in what is surely one of the very finest Mel Ott single-signed baseballs that this hobby has to offer.
