The 1948 World Series was one of the few of that era that did not involve a New York ball club. The Cleveland Indians won the Series in six games over the Boston Braves to take home their first crown in 28 years. This baseball was used in the sixth and final game of that year's Fall Classic, which took place in Boston. It has been signed and inscribed "To My Pals Joe & Olivia, Geo Barr" who has added "This ball used in 1948 Worlds Series Cleve 4 Boston 3." All writing is done in blue ink rating an 8 and appears on a well-soiled ONL Frick baseball. The autograph comes with a letter from PSA/DNA.
