One would have expected a man as well-traveled as Elston Howard to have a high-quality pin and small jewelry collection, and indeed he did. These 70+ items comprised Howard's collection and include pins, medals, buttons, and other such items with subjects ranging from all types of baseball teams and events, Muhammad Ali, state senator campaigns, charity events, etc. Howard personally mounted the pins and jewelry on a blue felt backing measuring approximately 16" x 20", showing the pride he took in them. Of particular importance are several Yankees-related pins and medals including the Yankees' 31st World Series medal, Yankees '76 pin, Yankees alumni pin, and others. The pins are generally in excellent to near mint condition and come with a letter of authenticity from Howard's wife Arlene.
