This 30" high wood trophy was presented to Elston Howard in 1961 when Howard's New York Yankees won the World Series and is engraved, "Central Bergen League of Bergen County New Jersey Honoring Elston Howard Catcher New York Yankees 1961 World Champions Home Runs 21 B.A. .348." The trophy features three small metal statues of baseball players on the bottom as well as a large one on top, from which the bat has come detached but still accompanies the piece. Had the bat not broken off, it would be in excellent condition. The trophy has remained in Howard's personal collection ever since it was presented to him and comes with a letter of authenticity from his wife Arlene.
