These six awards come directly from the Howard family and were awarded to Elston over a period of years. Includes: 2 1/2 foot tall "Island Finance Trophy" awarded for "outstanding contribution to the Puerto Rican Baseball 1954-55 season," 13" x 15" plaque awarded in 1958 for "Outstanding Player Achievements," 12" x 14" plaque awarded November 30, 1961 by his fellow residents of Teaneck, New Jersey, 13" x 16" plaque awarded in 1962 "in Recognition of Superior Ability...," 6" x 10" plaque awarded August 29, 1967 for "Years of Unselfish Service For The Betterment of Youth," and an 11" x 14" (framed) certificate presented in 1975 by the Optimist Club of New York. All are in very good to excellent condition.
