The 1927 Yankees were arguably the best team ever assembled and with the lineup that is printed in this scorecard, it is not hard to see why. Leading off is Coombs, followed by fellow Hall of Famers Ruth, Gehrig, Lazzeri, Hoyt, and Pennock. The other notables are all there as well, including Meusel, Dugan, Shocker, Ruether, etc. The scorecard was printed for a home game against the Washington Senators, whose lineup was also power packed (Rice, Speaker, Goslin, etc.), and the Yanks came away with an 8 to 1 victory. It is in exceptional condition with regard to age, retaining a tight binding and showing no folds, tears, or rips. The scorecard has been scored meticulously in vintage black ink.
