This original Yankee Stadium letter "U" hung outside the historic Yankee Stadium from its inception in 1923 until it was renovated beginning in 1973. For those fifty years it served as the all important "U" in the title of one of this country's most famous ballparks. It is painted copper and has square dimensions of approximately 24.25 by 48 inches. It is in fair condition with damage evident on the top of the letter.
