Huskie All-American Hugh "The King" McElhenny won the NFL Rookie of the Year honors in 1952 and became a six-time All-Pro. Over his illustrious 13 year career, McElhenny amassed over 11,000 yards of total offense retiring in 1964 as one of only three players to reach that plateau. In 1970, "King Hughie" was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility. Pictured here is McElhenny's Hall of Fame ring. The size 12 silver ring with the HOF logo centered on the deep blue gem. The words "Pro Football Hall of Fame" are engraved around the center of the ring. The engraved word "Halfback" and the HOF building in Canton are depicted on the right shank of the ring while the name "Hugh McElhenny" and the year "1970" are engraved on the left with a game scene nestled between the two. The ring is well-worn and some of the letters around the crown have fused. The ring otherwise is in excellent condition and comes with a signed LOA from McElhenny.
