A three-time Pro Bowl performer, Bryan Cox entered the league in 1991 as a fifth-round draft choice of the Miami Dolphins. His resume includes 934 tackles, including five seasons with 100 or more tackles and 52 sacks. Cox is the kind of player that most veteran coaches like to have on the team. He works well with younger teammates and is more concerned with winning that with personal statistics. At the base of the "V" neck is the "NFL" patch and on the upper left front is the "NY Jets" white embroidered patch. On the left front tail is the year tag "98" and next to this is the "Starter" label. Adjacent to this is the size tag "50" and next to this is the "L" tag. On the back of the shirt is a green nameplate with the name "Cox" in white tackle twill. The player number "51" appears on the front, back and on each shoulder of the jersey. The numbers on the front and back are made of white tackle twill and the numbers on the sleeves are made of green tackle twill. There are pulls on the front numbers and fraying on the front numbers and back letters. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
