Regardless of how prepared he was for his first bout with Cassius Clay, Sonny Liston could not have known what he was in for against the brash, cocky gold medal winner. Having held the heavyweight title since 1962, Liston lost it to Ali in February of 1964. The rematch wasn't nearly as competitive as the first fight and it wasn't long before Liston died in a cloud of mystery. This 3" x 5" notecard is signed "Charles Liston" in black ink with the signature grading a 9. The autograph comes with a letter from PSA/DNA.
