Yankee Stadium is the most famous sports venue this side of the Roman Coliseum. The House That Ruth Built has been host to countless World Series games and seen the likes of Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio, Mickey Mantle and Reggie Jackson pass through its doors since they opened in 1923. Who will ever forget Gehrig's farewell speech, or Larsen's perfect game in the '56 World Series or Roger Maris hitting number 61 in to the right field seats on the last day of the season in 1961. It's not often an authentic item from the Yankee Stadium locker room is offered for sale. This original 18" black stool once graced the Yankees' locker room. There is some paint chipping which adds to the vintage feel and the stool is fully intact. It is consigned to us by the same gentleman who gave us the Yankee Stadium locker in a previous auction. He obtained them at the same time from a Yankee bat boy.
