"Baseball is a red-blooded sport for red-blooded man." Ty Cobb once said "It's no pink tea, and mollycoddles had better stay out. It's a struggle for supremacy, survival of the fittest." Those words, spoken by the man who is perhaps the greatest ballplayer ever, seem to sum up all that we known about Ty Cobb. This personal check was drawn on Cobb's personal account at the First National Bank of Nevada and, with the exception of the name of the recipient (which has been stamped on), has been filled out in his own hand. The full "Tyrus R. Cobb" signature is bold and beautiful, rating a 9. The check itself is in excellent plus condition with the bank cancellation far away from the signature. The autograph comes with a letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA.
