After winning four straight World Series titles under Casey Stengel, the New York Yankees, to the surprise of virtually no one, made it five in a row in 1953 following a 99-52 regular season. That remarkable streak was capped off when the Bronx Bombers defeated the cross-city rival Brooklyn Dodgers 4-2 in the Fall Classic. Mickey Mantle, Gil McDougald and Billy Martin, who batted a whopping .500, all hit 2 home runs in helping the Yanks to the title. This black and white 8" x 10" photo is signed by 26 members of the squad, including: Mantle, Yogi Berra, Whitey Ford, Phil Rizzuto, Martin, McDougald, Johnny Mize, Ralph Houk, Hank Bauer, Johnny Sain, Frank Crosetti, Gene Woodling, Vic Raschi, Don Bollweg, Art Schallock, Andy Carey, Irv Noren and Bob Kuzava. The signatures are bold and crisp and grade a 9 overall. Comes with a letter from PSA/DNA.
