A humble and reluctant hero, Roger Maris lived the dream. Not only did he get the opportunity to play baseball, but he became one it's all time immortals. "I still see him in my dreams", said Yankee teammate and baseball Hall of Famer Mickey Mantle. " We lived together, we kidded around a lot, we enjoyed our time out there. Roger was a hell of a player, a Hall of Famer for sure in my book." This picture is of one of baseball's greatest moments. It was with this very swing of the bat that Maris did what no one imagined was possible and broke Babe Ruth's 34 year old single season homerun record. The photo has been signed "To Jamie, Best Wishes, Roger Maris." The black marker signature and inscription are big and bold rating a near perfect 10. The photo itself appears to be a vintage print that has held up remarkably well over the years showing almost no wear whatsoever. The only clue to it's age is light toning that is evident on the reverse and edges. The autograph comes with a letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA.
