This photograph is of the type that would have been sold as a souvenir during the Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig barnstorming tours of the late 1920's and 1930's. Each player is pictured in their tour uniforms. Gehrig has signed the photo in ink "To Arthur Lysat, Sincerely, Lou Gehrig." The signature and inscription are nearly flawless with only slight fading in the over 70 years since it was signed. All considered, the autograph rates a strong 7 to 8. If this signature were to appear against a white background it would rate a perfect 10. This is one of the finest Gehrig signed photographs that we have handled. The autograph comes with a letter from PSA/DNA.
