The St. Louis Cardinals can thank August A. Busch Jr. for his quick and decisive action. In 1953, the decision was made to move the club another city. Busch, a life-long Cardinals fan, was Chairman of the Anheuser-Busch Companies. When he heard of the moving plans, he decided to buy the team and keep it in the town he called home. Busch penned his full name "August A Busch Jr." on the side panel of this cream colored unofficial baseball in blue ink. The signature rates an 8 and has been lightly coated for preservation. The autograph comes with a letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA.
