With the passing of Ted Williams, Willie Mays is now widely considered the greatest living ballplayer with Hank Aaron, Stan Musial and even Barry Bonds providing the competition. 1964 was just another fantastic season for Mays, who batted .296 with a league-high 47 home runs, 111 RBI and 121 runs. This uncracked Willie Mays game-used bat shows evidence of excellent game use. Several ball and ball stitch marks are visible on the barrel. The model number "S2" is stamped on the knob. The bat weight in ounces is written "33" in blue ink on the knob end. All markings are consistent with 1964 era Willie Mays game-used bats. Manufacturer: Hillerich & Bradsby, Model Number: S2, Labeling Period: 1964, Length: 34-3/4 in, Weight: 33 oz, Wood: Ash, Finish: Flame-Burned. The bat comes with a letter from PSA/DNA.
