While Gary generates plenty of headlines, few can dispute the man's talent. In his last three years with the Dodgers, Gary averaged 38 home runs, 103 RBI and 102 runs scored. In 2000, he hit a career-high 43 homers which stood as the club record until Shawn Green broke it with 49 in 2001. Included in the Shef lot are a bat and glove The glove has the "Mizuno" manufacturers label on the outside and has his name embroidered on the thumb in gold stitch. It shows evidence of heavy game use. The uncracked Sheffield bat shows evidence of good game use. The barrel is large with a small handle and regular knob. The grain width is narrow and the handle has a light coat of pine tar. The knob is wrapped with padded tape. The back of the barrel has ball, blue ball transfer, and red bat rack marks. Sheffield's player number "11" is written in silver pen on the knob and barrel end. Manufacturer: Hillerich & Bradsby, Model Number: R161, Labeling Period: 2002, Length: 34-1/2 in, Weight: 35.5 oz, Wood: Ash, Finish: Black. The bat comes with a letter from PSA/DNA.
