Not every big-league player comes with glowing credentials. In the June 1988 Draft, 1,389 players were taken before Mike was selected by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 62nd round. Just five years later, the once unwanted catcher was the National League's Rookie of the Year. This uncracked Mike Piazza game-used bat shows evidence of exceptional game-use. The barrel is large with a small handle and regular knob. The grain width is narrow. There is ball, ball stitch, and blue bat rack marks visible on the barrel. The handle has a light coat of pine tar and Piazza's player number "31" is written in black marker on the knob and barrel end. The bat has been autographed in black sharpie, which grades a strong 7. Manufacturer: Mizuno, Model Number: Pro Model, Labeling Period: 2000-01, Length: 34-1/2 in, Weight: 32 oz, Wood: Ash, Finish: Standard. The bat and autograph each come with a letter from PSA/DNA.
