The Bronx Bombers played against the defending World Champion Atlanta Braves in what first appeared to be a quick sweep. The Yankees were battered, injured and struggling until the series left New York. Entering Atlanta, the Yankees came to life and beat the Braves in four straight. Offered is this gorgeous 10K gold World Series championship ring with the classic "NY" in diamonds (23) on top of a blue stone in the middle. Surrounding the stone is the embossed lettering "1996, World Champions." The left shank reads "Sims (batboy), Courage, Heart, World Series trophy" and the other shank has the Yankees logo with "Tradition." The inside band is stamped "LGB, 10K." The ring grades NM and is a size 7. A spectacular gem for the avid Yankee collector!
