The 1985 AL MVP, Mattingly led the league twice in hits, extra base hits and total bases. His defensive prowess at first base was unmatched in the American League as he won nine Gold Gloves in a ten year span. This New York Yankee's road gray jersey was worn by Mattingly during his final season with the Bombers. On the left front tail of the jersey is the "Russell Athletic" label with the size "44". Adjacent to this is the "100% Polyester" flag as well as a tag reading "Mattingly-95". All the letters and numbers are made of blue on white tackle twill. On the left sleeve is a black memorial armband as well as the number "7" commemorating the life of Yankee legend, Mickey Mantle. On the left breast is Mattingly's autograph in black Sharpie rating an 8. The jersey shows even wear with the stitching original and consistent with jersey's from that era. The autograph comes with a letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA.
