One of the most consistent hitters in the history of baseball Wade Boggs' career batting average of .328 puts him 30th on the all time list. The 12 time All-Star led the American League in hitting five times and in 1998 he collected hit number 3,000 becoming one of only 25 men to do so. On the left front tail is the "Russell Athletic" label with the size "46." Adjacent to this are the "100% Polyester" and "2" Extra Length" flag tags. Also adjacent is a white label reading "Boggs-95." Across the front of the jersey is the team name "New York" and on the back is the player number "12." All letters and numbers are made from blue on white tackle twill. On the left sleeve is a black armband and number "7" commemorating the death of Mickey Mantle. Boggs has signed the front in blue sharpie with the signature rating a 9. The autograph comes with a letter from PSA/DNA. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
