A member of one of baseball's most historic teams, Frank Leja played three Major League seasons. This is Leja's all original 1955 New York Yankees road flannel jersey. In the neck of the jersey is a grey patch reading "F. Leja" in blue chain stitch. On the left front tail of the jersey is the "Wilson" label with the size "42." Below this is the wash tag as well as a gray patch reading "1955." Across the front of the jersey is the name "New York" in block style lettering. On the back of the jersey is the player number "51." All letters and numbers are made of blue felt. The jersey shows even wear throughout with some staining on the front. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
