Billy Martin may not have been large in stature, weighing in at a mere 165 lbs. during his playing days, but what he lacked in size he made up for in determination. Martin made it to the big leagues with the New York Yankees in 1950, but it wasn't until 1952 that he was given the chance to play every day. Billy made the most of the opportunity by hitting .267 in 109 games and helping the Bronx Bombers to their fourth World Series title in a row. These Spalding size 36 road pants during the '52 season. They exhibit great game use with dirt remnants on the rear and near the ankles. "B. Martin 52-2" is stitched on the waistband and "Ford 16" is written in marker, also on the waistband, possibly signifying that Ford wore the pants as well.
