Baseball expert Peter Gammons once declared that Chipper Jones was "clearly the foundation of the next generation." After watching Jones led the Atlanta Braves to seven consecutive NL East titles, posting four consecutive 100 RBI seasons, batting less than .300 on only one occasion (1997) and packing a 30 plus home run wallop, an observer would have to conclude that Gammons was right. On the left front tail of the jersey is the "Wilson" exclusive label and below is the size tag "44." Under this is the year tag "93" in blue Swiss embroidered stitch. Across the front of the jersey is the name "Braves" in script style letters made of red on blue tackle twill. Below this is the Braves "Tomahawk." On the back of the shirt is a white nameplate with the name "C. Jones" in blue tackle twill. Below this is the player number "16" in red on blue tackle twill. On the back number "6" is an autograph which rates an 8. There is some fraying on the Tomahawk and buckling on the number "1." The shirt shows even wear throughout. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. The autograph comes with a letter from PSA/DNA.
