Bob Aspromonte was a regular with the original Houston expansion team in 1962 and stayed through 1968. The celebrated bachelor set a NL record for third basemen with 57 consecutive errorless games in 1962. On the left front tail is the "Wilson" label with the size, "40." Below this is a white felt patch with the year "1965" in blue chain stitch. Across the front of the jersey is the name "Astros" in blue/orange/white embroidered stitch and on the back is the player number "14" in blue on orange felt. On the left sleeve is the Astros embroidered patch. The number has been restored. The shirt shows even and consistent wear throughout. The jersey shows game-use and with the exception of the restored number, appears to have no other alterations of any kind.
