A sure-fire first ballot Hall of Famer, Barry Bonds' power and speed won him three MVP awards in the 1990s and recognition as the best all-around player of the decade. His combination of power, average and speed rivals even that of his godfather, Willie Mays. 1993 was an MVP year for Bonds. On the inside left front tail of the jersey is the "Rawlings" label with the size "44" and adjacent is the flag tag reading "Set 1 1993." Below this is a white label reading "93 25" which is done in embroidered stitch. The numbers denote the year and player number, respectively. On the inside left front tail is stamped "Purchased from the San Francisco Giants." Across the front of the jersey is the name "Giants" and on the back is a white nameplate with the name "Bonds." Below this is the player number "25." The letters and numbers are made of black on orange tackle twill. There is an autograph on the back number "5." that rates a solid 8. The jersey has been consigned by well known sports commentator Shigeo Maeno. Shigeo states in his letter that he obtained the shirt directly from Bonds when he came over on a tour of Japan. It shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind and is accompanied by Shigeo's letter and the autograph comes with a PSA/DNA letter.
