Often times you can judge an athlete's popularity by whether or not he has a nickname. If the player has two nicknames, then it's a safe bet that he was talented in his particular sport. Such was the case with former Washington Senators outfielder/first baseman and mammoth slugger Frank Howard. Known to fans as both "Hondo" and "The Capital Punisher", Howard cranked out 382 home runs over 16 seasons and led the league in long balls in both 1968 and 1970. Howard's signature and the inscription "The Capital Punisher" grace the bill of this vintage Washington Senators helmet, worn by Senators all-star catcher Paul Casanova. The signature and inscription grade a near 10 and the size 7 helmet shows tremendous use. The autograph comes with a letter from PSA/DNA.
