The 6' 4" Sid Hudson jumped to the Senators after two years in the Florida State League. After military service (1943-45), Hudson resumed his place in the Senators' rotation, tying for the AL lead with 17 losses in 1949. A good hitting pitcher, he batted .220 lifetime. Active until age 39, he became a long-time pitching coach, instructor and scout. In the neck of the jersey is the "MacGregor" label with the size, "44." Below this is a white felt patch reading "Hudson 20" in red chain stitch. On the inside left front tail is a white felt patch with the year "‘48" in red chain stitch. On the right front tail is an autograph that rates a near 10. On the left breast is the letter "W" and on the back is the player number "20." Both the letter and the number are made of blue felt. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. The autograph comes with a letter from PSA/DNA.
