It was Ivan Rodriguez's stellar defensive skills that first drew the interest of scouts in his native Puerto Rico. But since joining the Texas Rangers in 1991, Rodriguez has matured into the best all-around catcher in baseball; his bat is as dangerous to opposing pitchers as his arm is to opposing baserunners. On the inside left front tail of the jersey is the "Rawlings" label and adjacent is the flag tag reading "Set 1 2000." Below this is the size tag, "46." Across the front of the jersey is the name "Rangers" in script-style letters and on the back is a white nameplate with the name "Rodriguez." Below this is the player number "7." The letters and numbers are made of red on blue tackle twill. On the left sleeve is the Texas Rangers patch. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
